US Flags [dot] Design is a collection of visual design guides for the flags of the states and territories of the United States. Each guide describes a flag’s history and official specifications including composition, iconography, colors, and construction.

Contribute

Some states and their laws include more details than others. A lot is up to local governments’ interpretation. Even more has been lost to history.

The content of this site was gathered from official laws, state offices, historical societies, and vexillologists. Many emails were written, phone calls made, and documents reviewed. But of course there is information still missing.
