Instructions

Parts used

  • Arduino UNO
  • Raspberry Pi 2 or newer
  • 5V USB Battery Pack Raspberry Pi compatible (Most Battery Packs should be fine. However some cheap ones might not work properly (to few Ampere or not consistent enough))
  • Thin conductive thread
  • Basic Sewing skills
  • Guitar AMP
  • Instrument Cable 6,3mm jack

Raspberry Pi

Set up your raspberry pi with the latest Raspbian. Turn it into A Sythesizer by following this tutorial: http://andrewdotni.ch/blog/2015/02/28/midi-synth-with-raspberry-p/

Arduino

  1. Load the Sketch "MIDIGuitar.ino" onto your Arduino.
  2. Turn your Arduino into a native MIDI-Controller - check out this: https://github.com/ddiakopoulos/hiduino
