.NET Core global.json support

Rider plugin that allows setting the .NET Core SDK version for a solution.

» See end-to-end demo

Note: This plugin is now part of Rider since version 2018.1.1. Older versions of Rider can still use the plugin.

Features

  • Adds a solution-level context menu for managing the .NET Core SDK to use (under the Tools context menu)
  • Provides a dialog for selecting from installed .NET Core SDK versions
  • Updates the global.json file with the correct .NET Core SDK version

Note that this plugin only writes the global.json file, the MSBuild path in Rider must still be configured manually.
