Fixes

Game

  • Deck generator - Fixed a bug that during the deck generation cards with multiple colored mana symbols of the same color were unintended rated higher. So all generated decks tend to include more or nearly only cards with double or tripple colored mana symbols and so ignoring other cards.
  • Pop up menu - Set correct popup menu for the watcher of a game.
  • Fixed a bug that tournament player was not removed correctly, if he left the tournament start panel.
  • Fixed a bug that sometimes a conceding player could be wrongly set as the winner of the game.
  • Fixed more while loops running endless if a player left game at specific times.
  • In small layout the timer is now shown too.
  • Game log - Messages during multiplayer combat were improved/fixed. Choices are logged also.
  • Ability picker shows now the name of the object instead of {this} ability text.
  • Creating a new table uses now always the revious used types of players.
  • Token images - added possibility to set a original set for the token to get the correct token image if it does not exist for the card itself. Fixed a lot of not found token images. Some more have to be corrected.

Commander Format

  • Fixed that the player was not always asked to move the commander to the command zone if commander was exiled or went to graveyard.
  • Fixed a NPE (hanging client and server) if change control effects are used during commander game.
  • Fixed that cost reduction did not work for commander casting.
  • Fixed that sacrificing a commander as cost was not possible. Added game log message if creature was removed from combat.
  • Fixed commander damage win condition to only counting combat damage.
  • Added commander multiplayer format.
  • Added some commander info to tooltip text of commander in command or battlefield zone.
  • Added mana replacement effect to colorless for mana of colors not included in the mana of the commander.

Abilities/Effects

  • Fixed a bug of mass destruction class (DestroyAllEffect) that the no regeneration allowed option was not applied (concerns ~50 cards).
  • Fixed must be blocked by all creatures if able target effects to be not abilities of the targeted creatures (so e.g. a turn to frog does not neutralize the effect).
  • Fixed must be blocked by all creatures if able effects to take only place if the creature with the effect also attacks. Could produce dead locks in game. (Lure, Prized Unicorn, Bloodscent, Gift of the Deity, Revenge of the Hunted, Golgari Decoy, Indrik Umbra, Dangerous)
  • Theros gods - Fixed that a god was not removed from the combat if he stopped beeing a creature
  • Fixed a bug that Bestow creatures came back assigned to enchanted creature instead as creature if e.g. exiled and returned with Flickerform.
  • Innistrad booster - Fixed rarity distribution of double faced cards.
  • Fixed a problem that continious effects stopped working if target got invalid after resolution (i.e. no haste from Smelt-Ward Gatekeeper's or boost from bloodthirst stopped working at end of combat).

  • Blightspeaker - Fixed that Blightspeaker also can select Rebel enchantment from library.
  • Capricious Efreet - Changed first target so the ability can't be canceled anymore.
  • Chronicler of Heroes - Fixed a bug that wrongly was not only checked at resolving time, if a creature with a +1/+1 counter did exist.
  • Curse of Bloodletting - Fixed that it did not work for all kind of damge as intended.
  • Disrupting Scepter - Fixed that it could only be activated as a Sorcery instead correctly only on your turn.
  • Echo Mage - Fixed missing tap cost of activated ability.
  • Eldrazi Spawn Token - Select one of three possible token images by random.
  • Evershrike - Fixed wrong mana costs.
  • Faerie Imposter - Fixed AI didn't handle target (TargetPermanent) correctly.

  • Rampart Crawler - Fixed can't be blocked by walls ability (Rampart Crawler itself could not block).
  • Shimmer Myr - Fixed that Artifact cards could be cast from every zone.
  • Shrewd Hatchling - Triggerd abilities trigger for spells of all colors instead correctly of only red and blue spells.

Deck Editor

  • Optimized loading times of deck editor.

Match/Tournament handling

  • Deck generator - Fixed a bug that the selection of lands did favor the overall most needed land way too much, leading to bad mana ratio.
  • Tournament and generate deck settings are saved and restored if you restart the Client.
  • Fixed wrong mythic ratio of older sets leading sometimes to missing rare card for booster creation.

Game

  • Fixed that timeout for autoconcede is only applied if the player has priority. This prevents that player autoconcede if other players need more time to finish their turns.
  • Fixed that if a player left/lost in a FFA game, the players in range for all other players are updated immediately.
  • Blocking requirements - If a creature is forced to block an attacker it's no more possible to block no attacker. If a creature must be blocked by at least one creature the blocker is now forced to block this creature, if there are no other blocking requirements to fulfill.
  • Fixed that win effect did not work if winning player was not first player in player list.
  • Fix for the sometimes not shown "Done" button. We'll see if it works.
  • Fixed multiple reasons for null pointer excepations.

Abilities/Effects

  • Anhilator Ability - Fixed a bug hat could happen if multiple creatures with Annihilator were on the battlefield (fixes #287).
  • ConvokeAbility - Fixed that Convoke checks correctly for the colors of the tapped creature instead of the colored mana costs of it (fixes #299).
  • Detain effect - Fixed that detained permanents stayed detained until end of game if the controller of the detain effect left/lost the game before detain effect did end (fixes #304).
  • Kicker and Multikicker - Fixed a bug that the kicked status was not reset if needed (e.g. a Quag Vampires returning from exile of Fiend Hunter had again +1/+1 counters if he was kicked before).
  • Fixed wrong tooltip text of cards that could flip (Kamigawa cycle).
  • Fixed that for some of the day / night cards the night side instead of the day side was found if the card was read from repository.

Enhancements

General

  • Added the complete Modern Masters and Magic 2014 set.
  • Background pictures for play table and battlefield are selectable in the preferences.

  • Indestructible - Changed indestructible to an ability according new rule change. Also fixed that for indestructible permanents destroy events were triggered what led to bugs with abilities like Totem Armor.

Online Play

  • Blocking - If a human player does not set a legal block, the blockers are removed and the player can set new blockers (before the game continued with the next step, giving the player no chance to block in another way).
  • Added a small icon for token permanents and the text "Token" is shown under the set icon in the tooltip text.
  • Mulligan messages show now the number of cards the player has after the mulligan.
  • If a player has to discard in the cleanup phase, the message shows, how many cards the player has still to discard.
  • Added the display of the object type to the card tooltip text.
  • Mage can now play music during game play, if the defined musicfolder contains music files (e.g. mp3s). Put the audio files under plugins\sounds\music, random song will be played sequentially if game is active.

Fixes

General

  • The windows start .bat files are updated to check also for the default JRE7 directory and to use it if no JRE6 directory exists.
  • Fixed that PC2 mythic expansion symbol was not loaded and shown.

Online play

  • The check if a card is legal to a format works now also for reprinted cards.
  • Tournaments with AIs and Matches with option Wins > 1 will now finish the tournament round.
  • In multiplayer matches, the match is no longer directly removed if the host leaves the match.
  • Matches in the list of finished matches won't be removed automatically if the host leaves Mage.

Game

  • Fixed a bug in FFA games if player has lost and had cards in exile zones causing NPE.
  • Fixed a bug in FFA games that lead to error when a player lost.

  • A bug was fixed, that the list of players in the room of tables was sometimes not correctly updated.
  • The state of a tournament table is updated now correctly. Information about the number of seats was added.

Game

  • Tooltip rule text of cards in the select pile dialog will be shown in the foreground now and not behind the dialog.

  • If a player has an emblem, it's shown in the command zone of the player.
  • Dialog windows for choices are shown centered now, instead at the left upper corner.
  • Player enchants show now which player is enchanted by showing an arrow to the player.

Fixes

General

  • Also non basic land cards with various art are handled correct now.
  • Using another than the default file path for images in the preferences works now.

Card editor

  • Now no java exception is displayed when no color or no card type is selected for the card filter.

Game

  • Improved size and position calculation of overlayed textbox when showing big card for the spell/ability on the stack.
  • The vertical used area for showing the big card on the right panel was increased.
  • The positions of the panel dividers are saved when closing a game and restored for the next game, if the size of the mage frame is unchanged.

AI

  • Fixed AI freezing the game when it attacks with creatures that have trample

  • Flashback - Flashback costs ar reduced now from cost reduction effects (e.g. Goblin Electromancer).
  • Populate - Tokens copied with populate were copied with their boosted power/toughness values. Now only the base value is used for the copy.
