Can't reorder commits with E (interactive rebase) #503

rebase-mode.el seems to prevent me from reordering commits during an interactive rebase. It doesn't let me kill and yank lines of text, so I don't see any way to change the order of commits.

Check the keymap. M-n/M-p move commits, k kills them.

Thanks. Missed that somehow.

You can also simply make the buffer writeable (with toggle-read-only: C-x C-q) and then kill/yank the lines as normal. The built-in bindings are probably preferable, but I hadn't even noticed that they existed :)

I couldn't figure this out by myself. It would be nice if the documentation mentioned M-n M-p for re-ordering.

Mentioning #1096 so I don't forget.

Yikes, annoying when someone adds a mode you don't yet know to Emacs... rebase-mode.el is probably the greatest example of default package hubris I have ever seen in Emacs.

Default package hubris? I don't understand. git-rebase.el is part of Magit, not Emacs.

(I'm not a Magit developer, just a confused reader)
