SSL certificate renewals failing when IPv6 address not in DNS. #1595

I have helped more than one MiaB user on Slack recently with issues renewing their LE certificate. In both cases, the users had a IPv6 address which did not have an entry in DNS however they did have a IPv4 address which resolved fine outside of the MiaB.
The TLS status page stated that DNS did not resolve to that machine but it was resolving FINE via IPv4.
Is this an issue with our implementation of LE, or something we need to explore with LE?

It is not clear to me why a lack of an IPv6 address causes this issue as LE doesn’t require one (unless things have changed on their end). Also, why did MiaB not look up the IPv4 when the IPv6 failed …
