USC Preventive Medicine R Bootcamp: Data Analysis

This repository contains the materials for the first track of the Fall 2019 R Bootcamp, Data Analysis. We will meet Monday through Thursday in Soto 116 from 10am to 1pm. On Friday, we will have a joint code cafe with the track 2 group at 2 PM. This will be a time to work on a project, either one we provide or one you’d like to bring yourself (for instance, an analysis or report you’d like to do).

In this workshop, we will cover the basics of reading, manipulating, and visualizing data using an ecosystem of tools known as the Tidyverse. We will also cover making reproducible reports with the powerful R Markdown system. This course is influenced by the Master the Tidyverse workshop offered by RStudio but focuses more on the needs of health researchers.

It is essential that you comnplete two tasks before we begin:

  1. Read through the material in 00-intro/intro_r.pdf and complete all the exercises
  2. Sign up for an account at https://rstudio.cloud
