node-get supports https and it supports proxies, but oddly not the two together. Would it be possible to support this?
I'm not talking about proxies that are themselves an https proxy. I'm talking about the very common case of where someone might be behind a simple proxy like http://example.com:8080 and then (in TileMill) they try to download data from https (like a csv from google docs).

getting closer but hitting http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11091974/ssl-error-in-nodejs now.
also looks like this could potentially be a problem in how I'm setting up the https proxy and/or the squid/ firewall settings: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15421050/node-request-getting-error-ssl23-get-server-hellounknown-protocol
pausing on this, too much of a time sink. I think a better route would be to try using request with proxy+travis next.
