Map's buffer_size causes mapnik to fetch and render too much data #781

When a buffer_size is used, data around the tile is fetched and rendered. Sometimes this can be avoided, not requesting the data or not rendering.

Find early return situations to skip using the buffer_size or using a smaller value.

Some symbolizers (Line, Polygon) need a very small buffer.

Investigate using Layer buffered extent in feature_style_processor when fetching features and only some symbolizers are present.
