I'd like to move all scons files like .sconf_temp, config.py, config.log, etc into a build_tools folder to try to reduce the amount of files in the main checkout directory
what about a build directory with this tempory files, plus the generated object files (in separated debug/release directories) and the workspace directory for common IDEs ?
and so on ?
I like the idea of both a tools directory and a build directory. Getting targets to go into a separate directory (build) will take some work because out scons scripts currently expect relative paths - but this is a good goal to plan for.
@kunitoki - let's decide here on future structure before making big changes as I don't want to break the ubuntu ppa nightly builds until we are ready.
yeah sure. a build directory with common build tools should be enough. also move scons in there ?
btw. tools should contains all the stuff we have in utils now.
