Maybe I'm doing anything wrong, but with the current 6.2.0-beta2 sources, the file mapscriptvars is not created with "make" or "make all". Probably the dependencies "mapscript" or "mapscriptvars" should be added to target "all" in Makefile.in.
Woithout mapscriptvars, I'm not able to build the Perl bindings.
