The CMakeLists.txt for the Ruby mapscript extension doesn't include installation instructions.

The mapscript.so library is installed in the directory specified by the 'archdir' configuration option of the default ruby executable.

@sebastic given we have no ruby mapscript maintainer, can you confirm that this needs to be applied for 6.4 ?

Yes, this change needs to be applied for 6.4. I wrote this patch for the Debian package of 6.4.0-beta2 in preparation of the final release. Without this patch running cmake with -DWITH_RUBY=1 and make will build mapscript.so but make install will not use it.
