Added an "asString" function in mongoUtil that can set a value to be string in mongodb
This is in reference to the issue talked about in https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/cfmongodb/Eeia92jt7Uo
Instead of using StringBuffer, I created a separate class for it to avoid breaking any existing implementations.
Added an "asString" function in mongoUtil that can set a value to be …
…string in mongodb
It's interesting to see how the different solutions to the problem have evolved... this is considerably simpler than the initial approach. I like this, and I want to accept it, but I have one more request:
Please put an example usage into the "examples/gettingstarted.cfm" file. The examples are the primary form of documentation for the project and it'd be good to have your work discoverable by others.
Once we have an example which shows how to save and fetch numbers/booleans as strings, then I'll merge.
Thanks for all your work on this!
Fixed asString() to work on railo and added examples to gettingstarte…
Thanks. I updated it with an example, and fixed a bug when the method is used in railo (it just bypasses and doesn't do any kind of conversion).
