Incompatibility with Julia 1.11

The compatibility requirements of the package, as recorded by the General registry, make it incompatible with Julia 1.11. the compat section in Project.toml should be fully completed, and a bumped version of the package should be added to the General registry in order to make it compatible with Julia 1.11.
