Is there an OSX version of this project?

Hi Carlo,

I never thought of giving it a try for an OS X webview! I would not be surprised if the OS X API is the same as for iOS, in which case it may very well work as is.

If you get to trying it yourself, please let me know how it goes! And if I do myself, I'll be sure to ping you with the results.

Cheers!
Marcus

I had a quick look at this today - definitely possible but a decent amount of work. As I don't have a need for it myself right now I don't think I'll be working on it in the foreseeable future, but it may very well become relevant further down the line.

Cheers!

Thanks for the quick response!

@licx After a closer look still I think an OS X version should really be a completely separate ObjC implementation. It would be nice to have the same API, but I don't think much code would be shared.

Would love help with implementing a first version of this!

Marcus

Hello there,

I've made a port of the library to OS X, the main difference is that the Delegate Protocol of UIWebView and WebView are completely different.

I'd like to share it with the community. Should I make a Pull Request so that both version are in the same repository or create a separate repository ?

Cheers,
Antoine

That's great news! Nice work man!

I think it could be worthwhile having them in the same repo - enough people come here looking for what you've built that it would make it meaningfully easier for them to find your solution.

If the APIs are the same, we should simply have an ios/ and an osx/ folder with their respective implementations.

Very cool!

Hello @macuswestin, sorry for the late answer I've been quite busy this week. I'm currently extracting it from the project I'm working on !

Closing this as v3 now includes @oakho's OS X version. Cool stuff!
