This bothers me. Firstly, it has no direct application to markup technologies. Secondly, the "civility" movement has tended - accidentally or otherwise - to work out as a way of shutting down the voices of people who have every reason to be uncivil, and to label normal behaviours that are culturally-specific to minority communities as "uncivil". "Civility" is generally a code word for "the norms the dominant community imposes on others in order to maintain their own authority".

TL;DR - I don't think this is relevant to our audience, and I think it's ideologically very problematic. I don't think we should promote it.
