Images missing, mostly in auto-submitted posts

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Adding posts with images, mostly with a crossposter.
2. Checking posts on Mastodon.

Expected behaviour

All images included.

Actual behaviour

Some or all images missing.

Detailed description

As per renatolond/mastodon-twitter-poster#880 , crossposter posts to mastodon.social, but most of the time one or all images are missing.

Author of the solution suspects the issue to be on the mastodon.social side.

Having this happen when posting directly on mastodon.social still (one or multiple images), so it is highly likely an issue on the site.
