I don't know if this is a bug report, a need for documentation, or a feature request. I would like to have a hotkey to turn the menubar on and off. If it is turned off via the View menu, there is no obvious way to turn it back on. I tried the Alt key by itself and combined with many other keys. Alt-v does not show the drop-down View menu unless the menubar is displayed. There is nothing about hotkeys in the help dialog (F1).
My distro is Linux Mint Mate 18 with all current updates applied.
