You should probably normalize for inconsistencies between browsers. E.g. Gecko and WebKit make like endings as "\n" which counts as one symbol, but Presto inserts "\r\n" which makes 2. I usually use .replace(/r\n\/g, '\n')
Which of the mothereffing tools are you talking about? The byte counter?
The byte counter will now normalize line endings. Let me know if you were talking about a different tool :) Thanks!
