According to the release notes for 3.6.0:

This release is rated critical and it is highly recommend to upgrade to Matomo 3.6.0 as soon as possible.

Is there an ETA for the repository at https://debian.matomo.org to be updated to include packages for this security fix?

oh, I knew that...I was just adding another +1 and asking the same question...when are the packages in the repo going to be updated? sorry about that, I should have realized it when I posted it. don't post at 6am after getting only a couple of hours of sleep

Hi,

The package will be updated when @aureq will find the time needed to update it. No one has forgotten this issue and more comments won't make this faster.

Hi,

Not answering for two months and then marking as "off-topic" comments of people interested in the fix (and showing up +1s and it is done in others tracking systems like Jira) is not really community friendly @Findus23.

Sorry if this sounded rude, this wasn't my intention. It's just that adding a +1 comment sends a notification email to everyone watching this repository (unlike adding a 👍 to the first comment) which can be annoying as I can't solve this issue.

Just so you're aware, the second google result for matomo debian package brings up the page entitled Official Debian Package for Matomo now available, which states:

Yes, Aurélien Requiem (github) along with the Matomo (Piwik) team are committed to maintain the Debian Matomo repository in the future.

You may want to update that page if Matomo team are not actually able to maintain the repository, which would seem to be the case here. It's getting close to 3 months since a critical security fix was released and the repository is still lagging behind.

Hello everyone, Sorry about this issue :( we will need to do better. Especially the only way to solve this is to 100% automate the release of the package. Or at least make it 1 command for me to build as I could do it when building the releases. I'm reaching out to @aureq to see if it's possible soon. we'll post an update in the coming days...

Hi all,

Thanks you for your continued patience. I've pushed 3.6.0 and 3.6.1 a few minutes ago. There's a bunch of PR that I need to review in depth for the next release (3.7.0).
