The first day piwik has been installed, date should default to "today" instead of yesterday #5594

… so that the users can see their today stats.

we’ve received many emails from users who didn’t notice that yesterday was selected by default (the UI is quite bad at this level btw)

I added a section installation and an value installation_date to the config.ini.php file and before redirecting to the index page I added an check if today equal installation date. If this is the case, I override die default_day value.

Christian, it doesn’t work, because if you add a new website it has to do the same for this new website
you must compare the value against Site→getCreationDate()

Sorry, I wasn’t aware of this aspect. In the current patch I added da function isToday to the Piwik_Date Class. With is function I check if Site→getCreationDate() is today

(In 496) – fix #5594: The first day piwik has been installed, date should default to “today” instead of yesterday.
