Use a postcode destination of "W2 3EA" (for the northern side of the square).</p> <h2>Travel by Heathrow Express<a name="travel-heathrowexpress" title="travel-heathrowexpress"></a></h2> <p>For travel by <a href="http://www.heathrowexpress.com">Heathrow Express</a> from Heathrow Airport, depart at London Paddington Station. Take a taxi or walk from there.</p> <h2>Travel by National Rail<a name="travel-nationalrail" title="travel-nationalrail"></a></h2> <p>For travel by <a href="http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/">National Rail</a> from places west of London and England, depart at London Paddington Station. Take a taxi or walk from there. For National Rail connections through other London terminals, take the London Underground.</p> <h2>Travel by London Underground<a name="travel-londonunderground" title="travel-londonunderground"></a></h2> <p><img class="lpadding" src="/_assets/chg-tube-lancastergate-512.jpg" border="0" alt="Lancaster Gate Station, London Underground" vspace="4" width="280" height="137" align="right" />For travel by <a href="http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tube">London Underground</a>, use any of (a) the Central Line to Queensway or Lancaster Gate, or (b) the District/Circle Lines to Bayswater or Paddington, or (c) the Bakerloo Line to Paddington, or (d) the Hammersmith and City Line to Paddington. The most convenient stops are Paddington or Lancaster Gate. Take a taxi or walk from there.</p> <h2>Travel by London Buses<a name="travel-londonbuses" title="travel-londonbuses"></a></h2> <p>For travel by <a href="http://www.tfl.gov.uk/buses">London Buses</a>, there are numerous services stopping around Paddington or Lancaster Gate. Use the TFL <a href="http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk">Journey Planner</a> or the <a href="http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/gettingaround/maps/buses/?borough=WES">Westminster Bus route maps</a> for more detail. The most convenient stops are at Leinster Terrace on Bayswater Road, Lancaster Gate or Paddington Station. Walk from there.</p> <h2>Travel by Vehicles (Taxi, Car, Motorcycle, or Bicycle)<a name="travel-vehicle" title="travel-vehicle"></a></h2> <p>For travel by Taxi, drivers will know "Craven Hill Gardens" as a destination.</p> <p>For travel by Car or Motorcycle, approach the area on the main arteries (being the Westway, Edgware Road or Bayswater Road)<img class="rpadding" src="/_assets/chg-taxi-driving-512.jpg" border="0" alt="Taxi cab in Craven Hill Gardens" vspace="4" width="220" height="160" align="left" /> then proceed up through Craven Hill or Leinster Terrace. Because of local oneway and turn restrictions, it is advisable to use a trip planner or a navigation system. The area is within the <a href="http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/congestioncharging/">London Congestion Charging zone</a>.</p> <p>For travel by Bicycle, be aware that the lack of dedicated cycle lanes in the area can make for a perilous journey, although there are cycle paths across Hyde Park.</p> <p>There is a motorcycle stand on the south-west corner of Craven Hill and Craven Hill Gardens, opposite the Comfort Inn. There are no dedicated bicycle stands nearby. The area is subject to many parking restrictions which are enforced by roving officers, so check restrictions thoroughly before parking any vehicles. The nearest car park is at the southern end of Queensway opposite Queensway Station. Many hotels do not have dedicated vehicle parking and charge if they do.</p> <h2>Travel by Foot<a name="travel-foot" title="travel-foot"></a></h2> <p>For travel by Foot, there are many pleasant routes. The area is full of classic architecture, green spaces, lots of pavement, crossings and helpful people to offer directions (even if many of them are visitors and don't know themselves).</p>
