Any chance you can implement a lookup for lat/lngt, so we can hook this up to the standard HTML5 Geolocation API ?
We can currently do this by injecting the maxmind db into a database and querying that .. but going through a sql connection kinda sucks ^^
Privacy apart where you just lookup an ip without asking permission 1st ..This is especially useful on mobile phones that if the user allows, provides you with his lat/lng coordinates ..from there we need to get the rest of the info (Country, City...)
unfortunately this is not possible with the current binary database format. But sounds like a good idea for another binary database for this purpose.
