I think this needs further investigation, as another user pointed out they don't work for them in Chrome 66.

I would set it to true for unprefixed. It's been in Chrome since ancient times, but I can't nail down a version number. I also don't know where the '53' that's in there now came from. I can't find anything that supports that.

It works for me in 66 (mac). If it's failing for someone, then we may have a regression or they may be using an unimplemented value. Please double-check the usual stuff and open a Chrome ticket if necessary.
