Muvex is a LAN-based file transfer and download tool. Users can create different types of links to share files from this device with other devices in the same LAN, or allow others to upload files to this device. The software works entirely within the LAN, without relying on any third-party servers, ensuring security and privacy.
- Upload Link (UploadLink) Set link name, password, and expiration time. Uploads require request approval before starting. Supports progress tracking and manual termination.
- Download Link (DownloadLink) Set password and expiration time, select files to share, and generate a link or QR code for others to download.
- Quick Upload Link (QuickUploadLink) One-click creation, no password and no approval required. Suitable for trusted environments. Upload progress can still be monitored and terminated.
- Quick Download Link (QuickDownloadLink) One-click creation with simplified steps, functionally similar to Download Link.
- All links support expiration time; expired links become inaccessible.
- Users can manually modify link name, expiration time, password, or invalidate links early.
- Quick links do not support passwords.
- Files are split into chunks before upload and merged after completion.
- Interrupted uploads retain uploaded chunks and can resume later.
- If upload progress is deleted, the file will restart from the beginning.
- Links with passwords require authentication before access.
- Upload links (except Quick Upload) require approval before uploading.
- "Download All" button may not work in some browsers due to local HTTP restrictions.
- Do not move or delete files in the installation directory, otherwise unexpected errors may occur.
- Keep the app running while others are uploading or downloading, otherwise tasks will be interrupted.
- All received files are saved under
data/finaldirectory, grouped by link name. - Do not move, delete, or modify shared files, otherwise the links will break.
- Each link is uniquely identified by IP + Port + Token:
- IP: Changes with the network/WiFi you connect to. Switching networks may invalidate links.
- Port: Randomly assigned on first startup. If occupied, the app will reassign automatically. Can also be manually modified in settings.
- Token: A unique identifier generated from the link contents.
- It is recommended to install the app on a disk partition with sufficient free space for stability.
