13 branches, most stale

Github says there are 10 stale branches i.e. changesets which may/may not be in the currently distributed version of meerkat.
Which changes are useful? Which aren't? Which are irrelevant now? Which are works-in-progress to requested features but not yet implemented?

Here's some initial investigation on some branches:

hover-text: changes should be kept somewhere. This is an outstanding feature request. See #40

simplify-editor: is really old. delete

refactor: delete

Ticker: delete feature already implemented

groupcache: delete already merged

Work in progress. Deleted some.

Not sure what branch "dev" is. I think the only differences are features which have already been implemented.
