When installing on wordpress 4.0 throws these warnings.
Guess is not supported yet on 4.0.

Tested it out despite the warning and it's broken alright. on "Rebuild" it gives an "Error!" message.

It works very well for me. Could you be more specific on your system?

From what I see the problem is that the script cannot create a folder because of permissions. Try to give write access to the script

This error appears when trying to activate on Windows:

Warning: mkdir(): Invalid argument in C:\Winginx\home\testblog\public_html\wp-content\plugins\staticpress\includes\class-static_press.php on line 359

The mode is ignored on Windows, so something else is going on.

System: Ubuntu distro (Elementary OS) development machine.
The files had writing permissions, I don't think it is the problem.

Anyhow, I'm sorry to say to much time has passed and I have abandoned this solution and went a different path. Feel free to close this issue.
