If there are multiple lines in a line chart, to change display settings, currently we have to do one line at a time. It would be nice to be able to change the display settings for the whole question (which would rewrite the display settings for each individual line). Another benefit is that if later the user reduces the filters and more lines are added, the settings will be applied to the new lines as well.

Oh dear me YES! Please give us a global display settings option for line chart breakouts!

My use case is an embed based on custom sql setup in such a way as to allow the user to choose however many breakout categories they like from a dropdown list of some 300+ items.

After setting the line display options for a few of the more common items I've discovered that every time a new selection is made, that has never been added before, the line settings are those of a default somewhere in the code. And the only way to deal with it thru the interface is to go in there and set them manually for all 300+ possible breakout categories.

Having tested it out for a dozen or so I'm relieved that colors do not seem to be locked-in for manually set items so each should get it's own color automatically (otherwise it would become confusing to have two or more lines of the same color).

Once done it's done so long as I replicate the same question for similar questions using the same breakout so as to not loose all my hard work. A few categories being added from time to time won't kill me but for those with 5,000, 10,000, or more categories it's just not reasonable, there has to be a way to set a global default for line display settings.
