Hi @robertov79, we add new drivers based on community interest. If anyone else is interested in CouchDB support, please upvote it by adding a 👍 reaction to the description at the top of the issue.

If you're familiar with Clojure and feeling adventurous you can try writing a driver yourself. I'm available to help with any questions you might run into.

Note that CouchDB isn't really suitable for the sort of ad-hoc queries that are typical of BI tools like Metabase. You need to create and compute views ahead of time for every type of query you want to run. A better solution is to dump your CouchDB data into a data warehouse supported by one of our other drivers.

It may still be useful to create a CouchDB driver but it will likely be pretty limited compared to our other drivers.
