I see that your README.md still suggests users use (PECL) Mosquitto-alpha instead of the latest version (v0.4.0?), is this purely because the read-me has not been updated, or are there other reasons to use Mosquitto-alpha in preference.
ie, should the README now read pecl install Mosquitto which I assume would install the latest?

I suggest to make your first stable release.
It will help lot of softwares (like cpanel via WHM>Module Installers>Perl) for automatic installation.

Also it will boost developments with PHP
