Timeline Storyteller -- PowerBI

Getting Started

  • Install Python 2.7
  • Install yarn
  • Install node 6
  • Run yarn to install the dependencies
  • Build timelinestoryteller in another directory: (https://github.com/Microsoft/timelinestoryteller#setup--testing)
  • Run yarn link in the timelinestoryteller directory
  • Run yarn link timeline_storyteller in the PowerBI-visuals-TimelineStoryteller directory
  • Run yarn package to package the visual.
    • The .pbiviz file will be generated in the dist folder

You must change the guid property in pbiviz.json for Power BI to recognize your custom build

Testing

  • Run yarn test
