go to definition doesn't work in javascript inside block

If you declare a class and assign it to globalThis and do all this inside a block, then even inside this block the go to definition does not work, despite the fact that the go to definition works without the block.

Only top-level globalThis. assignments are supported for navigation.

What is the reason for this?
The solution to this problem contradicts some principles?
The "Go to symbol" find this ad without any problems, but is it so difficult to do it through ctrl+click?
The usual class declaration is found without any problems at any nesting level, but it is worth assigning it to globalThis - everything stops working and spoils the entire user experience.
