  • VSCode Version: 1.36.0
  • Local OS Version: Windows 10
  • Remote OS Version: RHEL7
  • Remote Extension/Connection Type: SSH
  • Extension Version: 0.44.0 (also tried nightly builds 2019.6.23944)

Downgrading VSCode to 1.35.1 and extension to nightly builds 2019.6.23944 fixes the problem

Does this issue occur when you try this locally?: NA
Does this issue occur when you try this locally and all extensions are disabled?: NA

Symptom seems to be the same as issue #103, however I am using RHEL7:

Hm, it works for me. What is the output of cat /etc/redhat-release? Works on 7.2 for me.

Are there any other errors in developer tools for the local window? (Under the help menu)

Hmm... it works from my other client machine running Windows Server 2012.

Both are using ssh from Git for Windows (Windows 10 machine had config override default ssh path).

The only other difference I can think of is that I'm running 32bit VSCode on Windows 10, and 64bit on Server 2012 (both User install). Could that made the difference?

Yes, problem seems to be limited to 32bit version. I downloaded both in zip files and 64bit one worked fine.
