wslg isn't installed after wsl --update

Environment

Windows build number: Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.21390.2025]
Your Distribution version:  Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 
Your WSLg version: Can't find this 'Windows Subsystem for Linux GUI app support', but Windows Subsystem for Linux  is 5.4.72

Steps to reproduce

WSL logs:

• Attach WSLg logs from /mnt/wslg No such folder

Expected behavior

gedit opens

Actual behavior

Error
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused

(gedit:7882): Gtk-WARNING **: 03:24:34.319: cannot open display:

[jax79sg]

A windows update needs to performed, wsl --update is not sufficient.
This didn't happen initially as i disabled windows update to prevent Windows 11 from being installed.
