Description

This repository contains materials used to replicate Drechsel & Tenreyro's "Commodity Booms and Busts in Emerging Economies" (JIE 2018). It was produced by Miguel Acosta and Yeji Sung as part of Martín Uribe's second-year PhD macroeconomics course.

Layout

The directory julia contains the code used for replicating the model calibration and estimation. The VAR directory contains the code used to replicate the VARs in the paper. Thomas Drechsel kindly provided us with the data used in the paper. The directory vardecompgraph contains the code used to produce the historical decomposition graph.
