RESTful Home is an in progress personal project to develop a home automation platform with support for common home automation and IoT standards (Z-Wave, Insteon, etc.), web services (NWS, Twitter, etc.), and homebrew IoT devices.
The architecture will be service oriented and services will communicate with eachother via RESTful APIs. Minimally, services will include a core and gateways for the various IoT protocols and web services supported.
Instead of taking the typical approach of developing this privately and then releasing a functional version on GitHub, I am instead going to push to this public repository regularly. For now this software should be considered completely unusable.
Please read the files in the
notes directory for tentative API designs and planned capabilities. I will also be blogging about this project at http://mikecamilleri.com/.
