Release list
v4.3.2
Mx. Voice 4.3.2
This is a focused bug-fix release for importing audio tracks.
- Fixed drag-and-drop imports incorrectly reporting “No supported tracks” for valid audio files, including files on USB and external drives.
- Restored single-track drops opening the Add Song window.
- Restored multi-track drops opening the bulk import window, where categories can be reviewed and assigned before importing.
- Improved the reliability of packaged Windows and macOS builds so audio importing behaves as expected.
4.3.1
Mx. Voice 4.3.1
Fixed
- Database folder getting cleared on save — Fixed a bug introduced in 4.3.0 where the Preferences modal could save empty values for your Database, Music, and Hotkey folders, making it look on next launch like your library had disappeared. The underlying data was always still on disk — only the folder settings were affected.
- What's New tour no longer triggers the bug — The tour was opening the Preferences modal without loading your current settings into the form, which is what caused the empty save when the modal was closed. The tour now uses the normal Preferences load path.
Improved
- Automatic recovery on launch — If you were affected by the 4.3.0 bug, 4.3.1 will silently restore your folder settings the next time you launch the app, as long as your database file is in the standard location. If you keep your database in a custom location, you may need to re-point Preferences → Database File Location once.
v4.2.1
Mx. Voice 4.2.1
New
- Fix for Windows auto-updater — 4.2.1 is exactly like 4.2.0, but also includes a fix for Windows auto-updating.
- Library Export/Import — Transfer your entire library between machines with a single file. Exports your database, music files, profiles, hotkeys, and settings as a
.mxvlibarchive. Available under the File menu. - Documentation — Added links in the help menu and elsewhere to the application documentation section on the Mx. Voice website.
Improved
- Faster performance — Reduced redundant work when loading and searching songs.
- Better stability — Fixed several memory-related issues that could cause slowdowns during long sessions.
Fixed
- Fixed hotkey assignments not working correctly across tabs 2–5.
- Fixed tooltips sometimes getting stuck on Windows.
- Fixed tab renaming dropping characters while typing.
- Miscellaneous bug fixes and package updates.

v3.1.5
v3.1.4
Much like you forgot about Drè, you forgot about Mx. Voice updates. But don't you fret, we're back with some new feature development for the first time in a hot minute! Allow us to introduce version 3.1.4!
New in this version:
- When Mx. Voice quits or crashes (as if), it will remember its current state, and reload that state when it starts next time. To get a completely clean slate, go to
View -> Start A New Session - You can adjust the font size of the app up and down in the
Viewmenu, for those of us old enough to now need bifocals - The app will remember the order in which you drag the panels
- You can double-click on a tab to rename it
- Hotkeys to show/hide the waveform and advanced search (available in the
Viewmenu as well) - You can view the release notes for the current release, as well as all releases, in the App Menu (Mac) or Help Menu (Windows)
- The build system was changed from
electron-forgetoelectron-builder. Hopefully you didn't notice. - Various other internal libraries have been updated, including the Library of Congress, the Library of Alexandria, and the Ripberger Public Library in Kenbridge, Virginia
