The MIT Humanitarian Hackathon

Welcome to the MIT Humanitarian Hackathon site!

Hackathon Challenge

We worked with various representative from IFRC, Red Cross Climate Center and developed the challenge statement. Hackathon Overview

The Hackathon will happen on Apr 20, 21 and 22 held at Bartos Theater, MIT Media Lab and we look forward to you joining us.

Here is tentative schedule with dates and subject to change:

  • Kickoff Hackathon – Apr 20th at 6:00pm
  • Introduction of Hackathon and Problem Statements between Apr 20th 6:00 – 7:00pm
  • Networking event with Dinner / Formation of Teams / Selection of Projects – Apr 20th between 8:00 – 10:00pm
  • Keynote speaker Event with Breakfast : TBD / Legatum / IFRC between Apr 21st 8:00 – 9:00am
  • Design Thinking Workshop hosted by Design Club – Apr 21st between 9:00 – 10:00am
  • Hackathon: 24hrs from Apr 21st 10:00am to Apr 22nd 10:00am
  • Pitching Presentation and Judging Apr 22nd between 11:00am – 12:00pm
  • Awarding Apr 22nd between 12:00 to 1:00pm
  • Closing Apr 22nd at 1:00pm
