Commented by: rryan Hi Konstantin, What Audio API and device are you using? Please check in the Mixxx preferences. Could you give 1.10.0 beta a shot and let us know if you still have the problem there? You can try it via the beta ppa: ppa:mixxx/mixxxbetas |
Commented by: lakostochkah Hi RJ! Thank you for your quick response:) I made a screenshot of my hardware preferences in mixxx, it's in the Is it because im using ALSA API? If so, would you be so kind giving me an Thank you! On 16 December 2011 20:02, RJ Ryan wrote:

Commented by: lakostochkah Hello again! Is there any progress with solving my problem? It's been a while since I've replyed. Anyway, I've read tons of forums, tryed using ALSA, as well as JACK - same problem. I tryed shuting down networking, rising priority and nice - no result. So I think, it's not the xruns' problem, that I'm facing. Please let me know, if there's something I can do, it would be a great holiday gift for me - to ba able to play via MIXXX! Thanks for attention! |
Commented by: rryan Hi Konstantin, How are you running Mixxx? Is it from the desktop icon or the terminal? Could you try opening a terminal and running mixxx like this:
Also, could you try the latest beta release of Mixxx? You can add it via the ppa ppa:mixxx/mixxxbetas |
Commented by: lakostochkah Hi, RJ! I already installed the latest version, still the same! I tryed to run it both from desctop icon and terminal, no progress. PS Thanks for response:) On 22 December 2011 21:00, RJ Ryan wrote:

Commented by: rryan Hi Konstantin, Setting the bug status to "Incomplete" means that we are unable to make progress on the bug due to lack of information from the reporter. As such in the bug tracker bugs marked "Incomplete" are ignored by the development team :) which I don't think is what you want. Leaving it as "New" means that it has been reported but not yet reproduced by a Mixxx developer. Since that is its current status, please leave it as New :). I'm marking WontFix in 1.9 since we have just end-of-life'd 1.9.x. Since you said it is present in 1.10.0, I'm targeting it for a fix in 1.10.1 if we find one. As for your updates, I'm afraid I'm stumped. Could you try using OSS or JACK to see if the issue is isolated to ALSA? Could you please post the output of these commands in the terminal:
Thanks, |
Commented by: lakostochkah Hi, RJ! Sorry for my incompetence in bug filing, hope it didn't bother much. I've got some changes, though. Since I've updated and upgraded mixxx on I tried using JACK, via QjackCtl - same stuff. When choose OSS, as the Here are the outputs for the commands you asked for:

Commented by: rryan The play-button flickering thing is a good hint! Could you check that you have no MIDI devices enabled? Open the preferences and expand the "MIDI Controllers" tree item. If you see ANY MIDI controllers listed (including default devices like "MIDI Through Port") select the device and make sure the 'Enabled' checkbox is unchecked. Additionally, for MIDI Through Port, hit "Clear All" to clear all mapped controls for it. I get almost identical results to what you are describing when I load the Vestax Typhoon mapping to my MIDI Through Port and enable the device. The play button flickers like crazy and the output is static. |
Commented by: rryan Hi Konstantin, Have you had the chance to try out my suggestion? I'd love to get to the bottom of this before we release Mixxx 1.11.0. Thanks, |
Commented by: lakostochkah Hey, RJ! Thanks for your letter. I've bussy working this period, so i never got an Well, actually yes, I've tried. And it does work. I mean, when disabling But now I have another problem - my Vestax Typhoon doesn't work in any way. Is there any way to fix that? Best regards, Kostya. On 4 May 2012 07:12, RJ Ryan wrote:

I'm on ubuntu 11.10
Just downloaded mixxx 1.9.2
When I press play button the track is played only for few ms, then stops (like being paused).
I was able to figure out, that the time played dependes on latency set in hardware options.

I never got to set my Vestax Typhoon with Mixxx 1.9.2 under ubuntu 11.10, when i tried to plug it with 1.8.2 version it crashed in 10 ten minutes and mixxx closed down.
