On #1, the phrase "until June 2016" is in an awkward place in the NYT story. I'm pretty sure it belongs at the beginning of the sentence or after "worked with Russia" because that's what it refers to, not the nuclear power plants.

#5: I picked up the revised wording from the NYT article. I think it's a little clearer.

#7: Not sure if "budget" is the right word, but IMO "process" needs some qualification; otherwise the Dems seem to stand accused of derailing a shutdown process.
