Importing Disqus Comments
Import comments from Disqus by running
rake disquscomments you may see warnings like:
Comments feed not found: <domain.com>/post-slug/
This likely means no comments exist for a given post. It could also mean
ident is wrong and needs to be modified to match the Disqus identifier of each post.
To verify Disqus identifiers:
- Export Disqus comments as XML.
- Download and open XML file.
- Look for
<link>elements. This is what Disqus is using to identify each comment feed. eg.
By default the plugin attempts to get comments using the default Disqus identifier of
domain.com/post-id/. It assumes
url has been set in
_config.yml. If you used something else you will need to modify the following line in
# site.url + post.id + trailing slash ident = site['url'] + post.id + '/'
You don't have to do anything special to choose one license or the other and you don't have to notify anyone which license you are using.
