Hi,

I'm having this issue with this package:

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/monero-wallet-qt

Some fields are white, which I think are supposed to be black, as such:

1
2
3

Hope you can help. Thanks!

This is rather weird and seems to be related to your local setup. What Qt version did you use to build the GUI?

@selsta thank you so much for the response.

I hope I'm doing this right:

$ qmake-qt5 --version

QMake version 3.1
Using Qt version 5.12.1 in /usr/lib

I tried different themes but it didn't change the white fields, except for 1 theme which made the fields a weird yellow.

Maybe because we use TextArea without any background set;

TextArea {
Layout.fillWidth: true
color: MoneroComponents.Style.dimmedFontColor
font.family: MoneroComponents.Style.fontRegular.name
font.pixelSize: 14 * scaleRatio
horizontalAlignment: TextInput.AlignLeft
selectByMouse: false
wrapMode: Text.WordWrap;
textMargin: 0
leftPadding: 0
topPadding: 0
text: qsTr("Logs out of this wallet.") + translationManager.emptyString
width: parent.width
readOnly: true
// @TODO: Legacy. Remove after Qt 5.8.
// https://stackoverflow.com/questions/41990013
MouseArea {
anchors.fill: parent
enabled: false
}
}
}

It might be inheriting the background colors from OS/distro. That's probably why Qt's TextArea has backgroundVisible.

Just a thought.

This happens when using Breeze theme. Workaround is to switch to Breeze Dark.

Thanks @trulex , but unfortunately that didn't work. I have since switched to the GUI binary and the issue has gone away.
