At USENIX/LISA13, a "Metrics Workshop" was held to discuss and develop performance monitoring metrics, inspired by the monitoringsucks movement. The workshop was organized by Brendan Gregg, Narayan Desai, Kent Skaar, Theo Schlossnagle, and Caskey Dickson, and involved around 30 participants. As an exercise, we identified several targets for monitoring, and desirable metrics for those targets, and then discussed them collectively. The result of this is has been summarized in this change.
