I'm not even sure where to start... see the ginormous thread on lines.

It's not quite finished, but I'm keen to get this merged to master, just in case I run out of time.

Please merge the libavr32 PR first (monome/libavr32#26), as otherwise the submodule commit won't exist in the right repo.
