When you have multiple Form.Requests that both use the same element for spinnerTarget, it appears that the second form request can destroy the spinner for the first. This causes an error when trying to show the spinner for subsequent Form 1 submits.

Using the following fiddle, http://jsfiddle.net/spencercarnage/DZWwF/19/ you can recreate the error by:

  1. Click submit for Form 1.
  2. Click submit for Form 2.
  3. Click submit for Form 1 again.

At this point, you will get the following error, which is trying to position an element that no longer exists, which I believe is .spinner-content.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'getScroll' of null mootools-more-1.4.0.1-compat.js:2956
