The re-factored scanner is perfect for allowing the stream backend to start looking up metadata with a scanner with a lowish timeout set.

I might have misunderstood what this is meant to achieve, but using Mopidy 0.18 I'm still not seeing Track and Artist names when playing streams. Mopidy does now set the 'Title' field, but for every station I've tried it simply gets set to the name of the station. When using MPD, there is a separate field 'Name' which reports the stream metadata that includes the artist and track name - this updates as tracks on the stream change. It usually comes through in the form 'Artist Name - Track Name'. Most clients look for this when playing streams (it's reported in MPD's 'status' command as the field 'Name)'.
Is this the sort of thing this change was supposed to introduce?
