I am trying to launch the application, but what I see is "This server is not running right now. Sorry." and no logs are getting output - the push is successful it appears and here are the logs:

There are probably errors. That page is a 500 error. Try this: SSH into your app (ssh app@...) then stop the forever process. You can do ps -ax to view the process and the path it is calling - basically call forever stop full_path_to_app/server.js.
forever stop full_path_to_app/server.js
Then try to start your app with just node - most likely you will now see errrors: node app.js
