Sites no longer drag in V0.22 #116

In Firefox 16.0.1 and the latest collusion V0.22 I can no longer left click on a site's symbol in the diagram and drag it and its associated sites about. As Collusion opens the diagram unfolds and roughly centres itself but will not move after that. Zoom in and Zoom out work, but do not effect the layout.

This was actually turned off for some reason before I started. I will try to find out why it was disabled and see about re-enabling it for the next release in two weeks.

You should be able to drag the entire graph around, but I know that's not what you're looking for.

We're also looking at improving the graph layout so nodes don't end up on top of each other in the first place.

Fair enough. Yes I can drag the whole diagram, but it doesn't actually move until I release the LH mouse button, then it jumps to the new location.

Yes, the lack of feedback while dragging bugs me too. I've been meaning to fix it, but it will probably happen faster if I put in an issue about it: Issue #117.

For some reason my copy of Collusion only got updated from 0.22 to 0.24 in the last 2-3 days. Yes you can now drag nodes about and they follow the mouse. BUT when you let go they drift back to where they came from! In addition the whole diagram is trying to reconfigure itself whilst you are dragging. Possibly not quite what was intended. My current diagram is huge, there has been no recurrence of my other bug #112 I reported about losing all the data. This make the diagram very slow to settle down.

The issues you're describing are part of a bigger challenge we're working to address, which is making the visualization(s) more useful and accessible when the data set grows large. It will take a little longer, but we're working hard at improving that.

Thanks for the update on #112 too, I've closed that for now. If you have a recurrence, feel free to re-open.
