We can add a message or CTA to create your first app.
Hey, I setup my dev environment for this bug and I'd like to tackle it. I am not sure what you're suggesting here. Are you suggesting a static or pop up message prompting users to create their first app or a notice that "You have no apps" or both?
The static call to action can be worded in such a way as to cover both: "Create your first app!".
Best way to tackle this is to draw up a few sketches and post them before you worry about writing the code. 😄
I will pass on this bug! Too much design for now. ;)
Hi! I'd love to take this bug. I have Webmaker running locally. Here are my images. Let me know if you have any questions!
Hi - Does this mean that you no longer need anyone to work on this bug? I'd assumed that flukeout was the mentor when I submitted my sketches.
Hi @TheLady - thanks for submitting the sketches. I'm having a hard time with them because not all of the elements you've included are clearly labeled and you're missing functionality from some of them that is on the current profile page. Also What is the grid area below the content on these pages?
At a minimum, we could:
If you could take the current design and mock that in there, that would be a good starting point.
Thanks for getting back to me. That's what I did first but I drew a sketch after submitting a basic mockup like the ones I am attaching now and being told to draw something like the one I uploaded yesterday. It is actually a lot easier for me to do mockups like this. I'd love for you to delete yesterday's, but this interaction might be useful for others.
Here's a better representation of my idea. Sorry about the confusion!
By the way, the advice to draw a sketch came from a Bugzilla submission, not this project.
Okay lastly, the squares underneath represent the keyboard appearing on a mobile device screen.
I hope that helps!
@flukeout @TheLady is this issue resolved or still working on it?
(please close if resolved ;))
Most of this has been resolved but adding a "create first app" call to action might still be worth considering @flukeout
Thanks for your work on this @TheLady 😃
Hi, k88hudson - my pleasure. I hope it was helpful!
