This working group was created to deal with an apperent need from the community to support C++. We have evidence through surveys of a growing popularity of using MPI from C++ applications. While using the C interface to MPI is possible from C++ the goal is to allow for higher level abstractions which currently are not possible. C++ applications are required to act as a C application towards the MPI implementation which hinders several C++ features.
Since Jan 2025 this working group has been reactivated and is organized by Anthony Skjellum and Tim Niklas Uhl.
- weekly Thursday 10am US Central.
